Infrared thermography of electrical equipment
Service details
What infrared thermography means
Infrared thermography helps detect hidden overheating before a breakdown occurs. We inspect live electrical equipment under load and assess the temperature of contact joints, cable lugs, busbars, transformers, distribution gear and switchboards.
When inspection is needed
Thermography is useful after installation, before commissioning, during seasonal load peaks, and whenever there are signs of heating, smell, poor contact or repeated outages. Regular checks reduce the risk of downtime and equipment damage.
What the visit includes
Our specialist visits the site, captures thermograms, highlights anomalies, compares them with operating conditions and prepares a priority list of findings. If needed, we also provide recommendations for the maintenance team and contractor.
What the client receives
You get a clear report with photos, thermograms and conclusions for each inspected node. The document records problem areas, likely causes of overheating and the order in which issues should be eliminated. It is a practical basis for planned repairs and further coordination.
Why clients choose LD-Electric
We have been working on power supply facilities since 2018, follow current standards and can take a project from diagnostics to correction of findings. For the client, this means less paperwork, a transparent result and more predictable operation of the equipment.
FAQ
In most cases, the inspection is performed without disconnecting the load when regulations allow it. Pricing depends on the equipment mix, site size and urgency of the visit. To receive an accurate estimate, send us the equipment list and photos of the switchboards or contact points.
Frequently asked questions
How is the thermography inspection carried out?
The inspection is performed with an infrared camera on contact joints, busbars, cable lugs, switchgear and transformers. We record temperature anomalies, identify likely overheating causes and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Can the inspection be performed without shutdown?
Yes. In most cases the inspection is carried out under load and without stopping the facility when regulations and safety conditions allow it. This helps reveal hidden hot spots while the equipment is operating.
What does the final report include?
You receive a report with photos, thermograms, a list of problem areas, conclusions about equipment condition and the priority order for fixing the findings. If needed, we can also support a follow-up inspection after repairs.
Where do you work?
In Mogilev, the Mogilev region and across Belarus.
